Planned Giving
Leave a Legacy.
Planned Giving is a very special way of showing your support to the mission of MIMA
Foundation of Brevard. We know that your commitment means you share our passion for
keeping Brevard healthy for generations to come. Your long-range planning will impact many
lives, and is a tangible way to ensure your philanthropic goals are met.
The Foundation staff can assist with financial planning and help maximize your tax benefit. You
can create a lasting gift through a number of planned giving options, including: |

Bequest
A gift made through a will, life insurance or retirement account policy. You can specify either a
fixed amount or a percentage of your estate. |

Charitable Remainder Trust
A gift that makes either a fixed amount payment (annuity trust) or percentage of trust principal
(unitrust), to the beneficiary of your choice. At the end of the term, the Foundation receives any
funds that remain in the trust. |

Charitable Lead Trust
A trust that makes either a fixed amount payment (annuity trust) or a percentage of trust
principal (unitrust) to MIMA Foundation of Brevard during its term. At the end of the trust term,
the principal can either be returned to the donor (a grantor lead trust) or to heirs named by the
donor (a non-grantor lead trust).
